"Welcome" the Pollies

Parliament returns on 24 August and we will be there lining the streets to welcome them back!  We need to remind our pollies that Climate Change hasn't gone away. 

And we demand the same level of engagement and action they have given to the COVID-19 crisis.  

WE DO NOT WANT OR NEED A GAS RECOVERY! 

We are asking that they: listen to the experts, tell the truth and take action now! We demand that they Build Back Better.   

The new XR Discobedience Dance Squad will be pumping out 'Staying Alive' with the colourful Red Rebels drawing attention to our concerns.   So join in the festive atmosphere before school or work - what a great way to start the day!  

This will be a safe and socially responsible climate action - everyone can join in - we will line the streets to Parliament House, with everyone staying 1.5 metres apart in line with social distancing requirements  

• Bring your banners and posters (although we will have some extras)
• Dress warmly and bring a thermos
• There is lots of free parking at this time in and around the Parliamentary Triangle
• We also recommend that you wear a mask and we will be observing social distancing
